What items can you not send through the mail?

You can't send these items in the US mail:

Mailing tubes and other items that are not enclosed in a cardboard box, envelope, or poly mailer are examples of these types of irregular packages. An irregular package is essentially anything that does not conform to the standard packaging, dimensions, and weights for both USPS and UPS services.
Place your wrapped item inside a box will add protection. If you choose to ship without the box, use plenty of packing material when wrapping and secure it with tape. Seal oversized pieces in bubble wrap, packing paper, or shrink wrap to prevent them from being damaged or scratched during transit.
Shoeboxes or paperboard boxes should never be used; only use the original manufacturers packaging. Check that the box is rigid, in excellent condition, and free from rips, tears, or corner damage.
